Imagine waking up in the morning and finding yourself directly on one of the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean; only a few steps on foot are necessary to reach the sea or you can enjoy the view directly from the veranda sitting or comfortably lying on one of the beds available listening to the sound of the sea, the birds singing and the eucalyptus leaves rustling in the breeze. Aromas of myrtle, mastic and licorice are mixed with salt, giving back a combination of pleasures.
“BEAUTIFUL BEACH FRONT VILLA- QUIET AND GOOD FOOD.
First thing to mention:- the Villa/Hotel is right on a stunning stretch of pristine beach. Not too noisy and polluted like the other end where the 4&5* hotels are. The Beach is White Sand and Beautiful Clean Sea- No Sea Weed and Rocks. Also when you walk into the Sea the start is shallow with no sudden drops as you walk in.
Hotel Restaurant is Fantastic. Real Authentic Sardinian food, albeit a buffet it is worth the 35 euros for the quality and variety of selection- from lots of anti pasti (octopus salad, grilled peppers, bread, cheeses, Krudo etc) Freshly cooked Pasta, Pizza, Fish dishes, Salad bar, Desert & Fruit choices. By the way the Pizzeria alone is absolutely delicious. Cooked in a wood fire brick oven using local sourced ingredients- Best Pizza I have ever eaten and you will not find better in the area.
As for the Villa itself, we were a family of 5 and fitted in comfortably. The beds are quite hard and unless you opted for the cleaning service, you will be stuck with same towels and sheet which you can wash in room with supplied washing machine. Mosquitos can be a problem so make sure you can buy some spray. The villas are bundled together in blocks of 3, All have enough privacy but as patios are only separated by a wall, you can hear each other which can be a problem if you are in a middle villa. Would also ask to stay at the end block for added comfort.
Nice Cosy Kitchen with everything you need and good size fridge/freezer. Supermarket is a 15min stroll- worth to cook some mornings and nights with the beautiful local produce as you can enjoy the outdoor patio with table and chairs- We really enjoyed waking up every morning to the sunshine and singing of birds and sea waves in the background whilst eating the most delicious food alfresco.
The grounds are well kept with beautiful Flora all around, outdoor Brick barbecues scattered around if you fancy cooking and outdoor showers are close upon return from a swim for a quick rinse off.
If you are keen on eating out a lot, might be worth renting a car as not too many restaurant choices around.
Nice small gym with everything you need and hotel reception is wonderfully helpful and warm. Graze Tina- will come back again.”

“We are looking forward to our 2015 summer holiday in Piscina Rei again.
We are coming every year and stay for two month September-October.
In our opinion Piscina Rei
is the best place on the whole Costa Rey beach.
This is our summer “maldives” retreat. Piscina Rei accommodations
remind of maldives bungalows as close as it could be on Mediterranean coast.
Accommodations are DIRECT on the white sandy beach – no roads in between.
Front line bungalows offer splendid sea view.
Few steps you are on the beautiful, very long beach.
Unlike on Maldives islands, here we have the luxury of very long walks along the
waterline. It takes about 4 hours to walk the beach from one end to the other and back.
The hotel owners and stuff are very friendly and easy. No unnecessarily bureaucracy here. The whole place offers very much a family atmosphere.
This is an ideal place for the families with young and small children (june -august) as well as adults who are seeking quiet retreat (May, September, October)
